So this is a thing that happened in my life

I’ve been having a rough time lately with transitions in my life. My best friend Sam went to Magfest. Ellen McLain (GLaDOS) was there. Sam didn’t really have anything to autograph for me, but she did perhaps the most amazing thing one human can do for another who idolizes and loves Ellen McLain.

She hands me her phone when I get in the car after she returns. There’s a video loaded. She presses play. Ellen McLain and John Patrick Lowrie are sitting together.

Ellen McLain says “Hello Tuesday.”

I started crying. They offered me words of encouragement. Ellen McLain. GLaDOS. And the Sniper. They told me to hang tight, to persevere. Ellen McLain told me that I have a good friend. I do. I really do. I just, I cannot believe that they did this for me. Two of my favorite people on the planet spoke words of encouragement directly to me.

Oh don’t worry, I’ll post the video once it’s uploaded. For now, I’m still trying to realize that this is real life. I have the most amazing friends ever. This is better than any autograph ever could be.
